Joe Scarborough's professional love is music not politics
Joe Scarborough plays with Morning Joe Music at Prohibition in New York City
In an interview posted Aug. 25 on vanityfair.com, Joe Scarborough of MSNBC's Morning Joe states that music is the only thing he has ever really cared about professionally.
Music, music is so important to me and my songs are so important to me. If somebody says, ‘Hey, Pete Townshend or Elvis Costello is going to be there,' at that point I sort of dissolve.
Joe, who began playing piano at the age of 5 and has written more than 400 songs, compares his love of music to his reaction to making decisions while in Congress, like whether or not to send troops to Bosnia.
We were in this room with the president, the vice president, the secretary of state, the secretary of you name it. I sat there and could not have cared less. It just wasn’t what I valued.
